Fall Party FUN!

My Little Spiders!

WOW! Did we have some fun today. The fall party was such a success! I have some lucky kids in my class. They have wonderful parents who went ABOVE and BEYOND today with all the treat bags, food, and prizes. I think the kids had so much fun. They left with a big bag full of goodies! Our Field Trip to the Zoo

We had an exciting field trip to the Memphis Zoo.  Thank you to all of you parents who helped me chaperone.  I couldn't of done it without you. 

Our First Science Experiment

I hope your little kinders told you all about our FIRST SCIENCE EXPERIMENT! Man, was it AWESOME! We used purple cabbage juice to test acids and bases. First, we made a hypothesis (an educated guess) about what we thought each item was going to be. Then, we poured each item in our purple cabbage solution to test our hypothesis. We discovered that when we poured something into our purple cabbage solution and the solution turned red, that meant the item was an acid. When we poured something into our solution and it turned blue, that meant it was a base. We also learned that sometimes our hypothesis' were right and sometimes our hypothesis' were wrong. But, it's cool because we ALL got to put on our junior scientist aprons! Take a look!
