We have been learning to read to ourselves in kindergarten.  We have talked about that good readers have to practice reading EVERYDAY!  Check us out in action!

Our Grandparents are GRAND

Grandparents Day 2011 was a SUCESS.  I sure had a great time.  I think our grandparents did too!  We enjoyed a snack, did a mini-craft project for the grandparents to take home, and last but certainly not least played BINGO!  For me, that was the highlight of the day.  The kids had SOOO much fun.

Seeing Double and Jr. Scientists

As promised, I have posted the pictures from our "Special Me" project.  Parents, you did an AMAZING job!  I took each student's picture with their twin.  Is it just me, or am I seeing double!  I also wanted to share with you some pictures from our first G.T. lesson.  Mrs. Schmidt officially appointed each student in my class a "junior scientist" and let them all wear a jr. scientist apron.  Her first lesson was on the five senses.  It was a BLAST!  I hope your children came home and told you all about it.  I can't wait to see what our next lesson will be about!

Mrs. Schmidt telling the students to touch their nose if they know the answer!  How cute!
